LOOK WITHIN YOU AND CHANGE YOUR WORlD

There was a time in history when mankind grossly abused and made nonsense of wisdom so much that the king of the wise men in the land of the wise decided to take WISDOM away from mankind.
To this end, he called a meeting of his policy makers to decide what should be done to restrict the availability of wisdom to mankind. After explaining to his policy makers the reason why he convened the meeting, he asked them to volunteer suggestions on what should be done to address the problem at hand.
“I think I know what to do” said one of the policy makers
“What”? asked the king.
“I think we should hide wisdom on top of the highest mountain away form the rich of man” suggested the first wise man.
The rest of the wise men though over the suggestion for a while and finally their chief over-ruled it nothing that mankind will somehow find a way of reaching out to the highest mountain and even beyond and still take wisdom to himself.
“Okay” said another. “Lets bury it beneath the deepest sea” “That will still not work” replied their chief. “man will still get down to the deepest part of the earth (maybe in the course of oil exploration) and still see it there.}
“Where then shall we hide it?” asked the third wise man. It was really a difficult question for the rest to answer.
At long last an idea struck the chief of the wise men and he exclaimed “Ah I have gotten the solution”.
“What is it? Asked the rest of the wise men.
“Les bury wisdom inside of man” he said merrily but the others were puzzled.
“How?” they asked.
“Because” continued the chief of the wise man. “Man will never ever think of looking for it within himself”.
“Hurray” shouted the rest. A solution had been found at last and hurriedly they buried wisdom deep inside of man and today mankind is busy running from pillar to post in search of that which he already has within him.
The moral of the story you have within you all you need to become all that you can be. Within you lies the greatest treasure. The greatest wealth you can think of is inside of you. You are a gold mine.
You are destined to be successful so, doesn’t die a failure for the greatest tragedy in life according to T.L. Osborn, “is for a person to live and die and never come out of himself to never realize the possibilities within him”.
God loves you so much and does not want you to lack in the midst of abundance hence he endowed you with innate abilities.
So brethren, I encourage you this day to look within you and change your world. Complaining and murmuring don’t change things, action does.
Begin to take positive actions regarding your life’s goals and ambitions and you will see them come to pass.

YOU WILL MAKE IT

One common negative trait in humans is the fear of failure .This as it is is okay in that it motivates people to take positive oriented actions in life so as not to fail. The success of Okonkwo in THINGS FALL APART by Chinua Achebe was a typical example of how fear can push a man to greatness .unfortunately,many allow this same fear to cripple them,robb them their inner peace and ultimately reduce them to cowards who are unable to attempt anything meaningful.

But this is not the desire of our lord Jesus for our lives.Jesus wants us to MAKE IT in life hence he endowed us with innate abilities that helps to successfully tackle every tasks or responsibity before us.In other words,we are bigger than our fears because we have what it takes to overcome them:something that is within us and something that is never in short supply.

So,when you are tempted to fear,remember this and boldly declare to yourself,"I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me"

Always say to yourself," I WILL MAKE IT.I WILL SUCCEED.I AM AA DIVINE PROJECT THAT CANNOT BE ABANDONED AND BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BEEN ABANDONED BY MY MAKER,HE WILL SEE ME THROUGH"

Activate your faith in God,let it replace your fears and you will see yourself effortlessly overcoming those " mountains " before you.

Confess positively to yourself all the time.Believe in your confessions;Do the best you can at all times;leave the rest to God and at the fullness of time it will be a surprise to you how far you will go in this unpredictable journey of life.

Lastly,before i conclude,i want to inform you that,"The thoughts of God towards you are thoughts of good and not of evil to give you an expected end"----jeremiah 29.11

And because HE means well for you,you must SUCCEED no matter what.SO, cheer up and go about your life,s mission with BOLDNESS because you are already destined to WIN and SUCCEED.you surely will MAKE IT in Jesus name --- AMEN

WHAT IS WORSE THAN BEING CRIPLED?

I attended a human developement seminar the other day and the above question was thrown at us----the seminar attendees.

To answer the question,some said "blindness'.Others said "Madness'while some said ignorance and others said it is "POVERTY" etc

To answer the question,the seminar host referred us to an interview Larry king had with John Reeves on the famous programme "Larry King live "

In that interview,the renowned American journalist---Larry king threw the question at John Reeves { a crippled American athelete who got crippled as a result of injury sustained in the course of his athleticc contest}

The disabled athlete in answering the question made Larry king to understand that he does not feel sorry for himself because he got disabled in the course of doing something meaninful with his life.

Then he said,"Knowing what to do and being too scared to do it is worse than being crippled"

And if Reeves answer to the question is anything to go by,then a lot of people today are crippled because they already know what to do and yet they are not doing it.

So, the question is what is it that you are too afraid or scared to do and why are you afraid? remember,fear is false evidence appearing real.It is just an attempt by the devil to stop you from doing something meaniful with your life to benefit mankind and glorify God.

So when next you become too fearful to attempt something meaniful,remember that fear is false and is only intended to stop you on the way.

Though every mortal entertain fear one time or the other but winners do not allow their fears to immoblize them rather they conquer their fears and go ahead to win their "trophies' and so become successful and renown.

Lastly,befor i round up,i want to encourage yo to always have the benefits of what ever you want to do in focus and that will enable you to face your fears squarely and by so doing avoid being worse than a crippled.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE

One of the things i have seen in humans is the inherent tendency to apportion blames and shift responsibilities to others when things go wrong.

Many blame their families for their miseries in life.Many blame their colleagues and friends for their inability to move forward while so many more blame the goverment for their low estate in life.

These trading of blames however did not start today for it has been mankind,s way of escape from unfavourable situations right from the inception of the world.

In Genesis 3.11,God questioned Adam why he ate the forbidden fruit and Adam instead of accepting his wrong and asking for forgiveness simply passed the blame over to his wife--Eve saying,"it was the woman you gave to me".

Here Adam blamed not just his wife but God as the cause of his misfortune.
Eve when confronted on her own poured the whole blame on the serpent who happened to be God,s arch enemy and by extension the enemy of mankind.

But inspite of these excuses,trading of blames and shifting of responsibilities,God never spared or exonerated anyone of them.
To the serpent HE said ,"Because thou hast done this,thou art cursed above all cattle,and above every beast of the field;upon thy belly shalt thou go and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life..."

Unto the the woman He said,"I will geatly multiply thy sorrow in thy conception;in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;and thy desire shalth be upon thy husband,and he shall rule over you"

Lastly unto Adam,HE said,"Because thou hast harkened unto the voice thy wife,and hast eaten of the tree,of which i commanded thee saying,thou shalt not eat of it;cursed is the ground for thy sake....thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;..in the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread,till thou return unto the ground;for out of it was thou taken;for dust thou art,and unto dust shalth thou return"

What a fall from glory to doom! Interestingly,the excuses,shifting and trading of blames in the above narative did not absolve Adam or Eve of their shortcomings.All of them were pronounced guilty by the surpreme being meaning that."thou art inexcusable O man'
In other words,you are responsible for your life,you are in control;you are in charge.

An irish poet--Bernard shaw said,"i don,t believe in circumstances;what i do if my circumstances are not favourable is to rise to the challenge and create the kind of circumstance i want for myself"


Your circumstance no doubt might be negative and unfavavourable.Nevertheless,you have a duty to face it squarely and by doing so make something meaninful out of it.

William shakeaspere had but a little formal education but ended up becoming one of the greatest litrary legends of all time to such an extent that no litterature student can be taken serious if he does not know anything about William shakeaspere.Infact,claiming to be a litterature student without knowing about this man is just like somebody claiming to be a bible student without knowing john 3.16.

Philo farnsworth was orphaned at a very tender age of 13.This was enough to crush him but he rather saw it as a challenge .He became responsible for his life and ended up becoming an electronic T.V inventor.

AMAZING GRACE-------One of the most popular hymns we sing in churches today was composed by a blind woman who dared to be responsible for her life.

I can really go on and on and on with so many names of men and women who took charge of their lives and made something better out of their ugly situations and by so doing rose to prominent heights in life.

No wonder Oliver wendell Holmes--the famous American jurist said ,"What lies ahead of us and behind us is nothing compared to what lies within us"

And in rounding up this discourse,i want to say that we all are like victims of a shipwreck in a desperate bid for survival and in this bid,it is every man to himself.It is either you struggle and swim to safety against all odds or you get drowned.

So,take charge of your life.Live responsibly,believe God for a breakthrough and you will become somebody to be reckoned with in no distanct time.

If it is going to be.it is up to you.

A Promise To Myself

I promise myself to be strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind

To talk health,Happiness and prosperity to every person i meet.

To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile about them.

Quit Procrastination Now

Procrastination is not only the the thief of time,it is the thief of success,joy,happiness,advancement,glory and every thing that is good in life.Infact it is an evil in itself that must be avoided as well as dealth with if one must be what the almighty creator has destined him to be.

But what is procrastination? somebody might ask.Simply put,it is leaving till a later time something that could be done today.

Regrettably enough,this has reduced so many fellows to mere paupers even when they were destined to be millionaires etc.

There was this story about a little known painter in town who desired to paint a masterpiece.Day after day he will dream about his desire,talked about it and imagined the beautiful masterpiece in his mind but never did anything about it.

Days rolled into weeks.weeks ran into months and months became years.Unknown to him,he was growing old and running out of time.Then he took ill and died shortly after taking with him to the grave his masterpiece----------something that would perhaps have made him known,earned him a more decent living as well as add color to humanity.But he died as a nobody because he procrastinated.

What is it you are procrastinating about today?.is it to go back to school?.to fight for the course of the less privilegded and needy?.to start a new business for yourself ? Maybe you are procrastinating about giving your life to the service of your God and maker.

I may not actually know what you are putting off to do today but whatever it is,i challenge you to quit procrastination and do it now.

The best way to quit putting things off is to tackle procrastination headlong.you can be the next William shakespeare.You can be the next Bob Marley;You can be the next celebrated inventor of our time;You can be the next world acclaimed motivational speaker.

It is both possible and feasible to acheive any of the above because nothing is impossible unto him that believes.Remember you can if you believe you will.

Quit procrastination today and some day in the future you will become celebrated and sucsessful.

NOTE: Success and fulfilment is your birthright;Don,t die a failure.

What Is Success?

The world success means different things to different individuals.To some,it means being influential and having the ability to command authority.To some others,it means being rich.Yet to others,it means not only being rich but having enough riches that could serve their unborn generations uptill the next two centuries.

The oxford dictionary of curent English on its own defined success as,"THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF AN AIM"

In his book,;HOW TO MAKE PLANS AND SET GOALS THAT WORKS"-----Charlie Tremendous Jones defined success as,'The progrssive realisation of predetermined worthwhile goals that is stabilished with balance"

Looking at charlie,s defination of success,four words are quite striking and those words are what makes a true success.

* Success must be progressive.In other words,it must not be an overnight something.Somebody for instance who wants to be a medical doctor cannot become one overnight no matter how intelligent he is.
Between the time the fellow nurses the ambition of becoming a doctor and the time he finally becomes one,there must be a time lagg of some years within which he has to sit for an entrance examination to a university to study medicine which in itslf will have to take some years after which he goes fo r his housemanship and finally becomes a qualified medical doctor.

* Secondly,success must predetermined before it can be realised because nothing happens by chance.Truely,any man that wakes up and finds himself a success has not been sleeping.

In the case of the fellow above who wants to be a medical doctor,he first determined in his mind what he really wanted to do with his life before ever he started sitting for his entrance examination and taking courses un medicine.

So,if you must succedd and make something meaningfull out out of your ordinary life,you have to determine now what you want to be or do with your life.Just decide in your mind what you want out of life and you will have it because," What the mind can conceive and believe,the man can achieve"

Thirdly,the goal to be acheived must be worthwhile.Put in another way,it must be something that adds value to humanity-----something that does not contravene the laws of God or that of nature and something that must benefit all concerned ( any thing outside this is not a true success and it cannot last )because a man must surely reap what he sow.

Lastly,a true and lasting sucess must be stabilised with balance.You dont have to overwork yourself to death just because you want to succedd.Learn to work while you work and play while you play because all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

The above in a nutshell is what true and lasting success is all about.
